Foot-and-mouth disease is an acute, feverish, highly contagious infectious disease that coexists in major livestock such as swine, livestock and sheep, as well as domesticated and wild artiodactyls. The number of animals that can be easily attacked by this disease reaches over 70. Clinical symptoms consist of vesiculobullous rashes occurring on mouth mucosa, hoof and breast skin. Featured with multiple transmission routes and a high transmission rate, it used to break out and become prevalent worldwide repeatedly, which gives rise to great political and economic losses.
Bovine brucellosis is featured with a high incidence rate and high infectivity. In culture industry, bovine and sheep that are attacked by brucellosis show signs of substantial milk production, reproductive system inflammation and lesions, and a higher possibility of miscarriage. For the culture industry, this may directly lower corresponding economic benefits.
Bovine and sheep schistosoma is a kind of parasitic disease caused by schistosoma that is parasitic on mesenteric veins. Clinical symptoms cover emaciation, diarrhea, bloody stools, developmental retardation of calves and irregular pyretotyposis. In addition, systemic failure induced death may be also caused by severe anemia. Most commonly seen cases fall into the category of chronic diseases; and, the attacked bovine shows signs of dyspepsia, developmental retardation, diarrhea, hemafecia and gradual emaciation. In case of good breeding management conditions, symptoms can be insignificant and the attacked bovine/sheep usually become carriers.
Echinococcus is mainly divided into chronic and acute echinococcus; and, disease symptoms depend on parts on which eggs are parasitic. Common symptoms of the attacked bovine include loss of appetite, abrupt weight loss and fretfulness. Regarding acute echinococcus, major symptoms consist of fervescence, tachypnea and spasmodic tic in most cases; and, these symptoms can be more obvious among calves.
